SHOPIFY CSV FIELD GUIDE
Did your spreadsheet turn an SKU into 1.23E+12?
SKU and barcode fields that look like scientific notation are flagged, including values that are unchanged between files.
Fictional example
001234567890 → 1.23457E+09
What to do next
Treat identifiers as text in your spreadsheet. Compare against an untouched export before saving again.
- Keep an untouched current Shopify export.
- Choose that export and your edited copy in Rowpatch.
- Review flagged values and unresolved comparisons, then inspect Shopify’s own import preview.
No signup or store connection. Files are compared in your browser. Current beta limit: 5 MB and 5,000 records per file.
What this check tells you
Changing the number format back does not recover digits already rounded away. Rowpatch flags suspicious text; it cannot reconstruct the original identifier.
